In the second session of the Empowering Caregivers series for 2021, Allison, the associate director of social work at the Penn Memory Center, introduces Andrew Morton. Morton is an award-winning playwright and theater maker known for creating socially engaged theater for vulnerable populations. He has produced work both in the United States and internationally. Originally from England, he holds a Master of Arts in Community Arts from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and is currently based in Detroit. In addition to his role at TimeSlips, he works as a teaching artist and facilitator with various social services and arts organizations. Morton was also recognized as a 2020 Kresge Artist Fellow.
