hi this is laura turner and today im going to talk with you about how to write a codicil a codicil is a amendment to your will that is going to be put at the end of your document so youre going to actually have to go and talk to your attorney in order to get the right format for a coded cell but i do have an example right here youre going to want to make this as easy and painless as possible for you and your family so before you make any amendments your will always consult your family members before you do anything thats my opinion anyway so in your codicil youre going to state your name resident of the united states the state of blank and the original date that you made this amendment and then youre going to add your change and youre going to list and be as clear and precise as possible with your change in your codicil to your will and then you are actually going to have to sign it and hopefully you will have people who are willing to go with you who will be witnesses to this
