To turn on and off your GPS, hold the disp button and go to menu 10. Select my position set and switch to manual to turn off GPS and set a fixed location. Enter longitude and latitude using the arrows, then hit disp to save. This allows you to set your location without GPS signal. If signal is weak, use fixed location.
