copying text only to find out youve lost all formatting isnt ideal instead when youre ready to paste your copied text click paste or right click and paste and you can choose either keep Source formatting this will retain all formatting of your copied text or choose match destination formatting this is merge formatting on later version of Word this keeps formatting options like bold faced or italic text but matches the existing font style and size or choose keep text only this will only match the font on the document you are copying to subscribe for more computer steps and hacks thanks for watching bye

Select the text that you want to paste into an email message. On the Developer tab, use the option to group the selected text. Select the text again, and then right click and click Copy. Paste the text into a new HTML formatted email and it will be shown with track changes.
To Copy/Paste Text with Tracked Changes: In the document that contains the tracked changes, select the text you wish to copy. Press Ctrl + F3. In the document in which you wish to paste, click where the text should go. Turn Track Changes off in the document in which you are pasting (if necessary).
Press Ctrl + C to copy. Click where you want to paste the text. You can copy, cut, and paste text or other items within a document, between documents, or between programs. Click the Paste button.
Try it! Select Replace or press Ctrl + H. In the Find what box, type the text you want to search for. Select Find Next to see where the text appears in your file. In the Replace with box, type the text you want. Select Replace to change the text or select Replace All to change all instances of this text in your file.
Press Ctrl+C. The comment mark and the associated comment are copied to the Clipboard. Position the insertion point at the location where you want to copy the comment. Press Ctrl+V.
