Understandably, artists have resorted to “watermarking” their images online to prevent others from stealing their work. While watermarking can be a great deterrent, it's not the same thing as a copyright, nor is it a substitute for officially obtaining copyright protection from the US Copyright Office.
A watermark is a way of signing your images as the owner. It's also a deterrent to copyright infringement. A watermark is usually a logo, stamp, or signature superimposed onto a photo. Photographers use watermarks on their photos to make them easy to identify.
Asset Protection - Watermarks are used to protect images and visual files from being stolen and used or altered without the owner's permission.
Watermarks are in the graphics layer and usually attached to the header/footer. It is not possible to copy both the main text and the watermark in the same process. You can only copy one layer at a time.
It's important to secure your assets with watermarks in order to protect content and claim ownership. Without watermarks, your valuable digital assets can be susceptible to content theft or unauthorized use.
This mark becomes apparent when the paper is held up to light and is visible from the front or back of the document. A true watermark is difficult to reproduce. It cannot be be duplicated on either a scanner or a copier.
Open the source document you will copy watermark from, and double click the header or footer area to activate the header and footer sections. 2. Now the watermark image or watermark text can be selected. Right click the watermark image/text, and select Copy from the context menu.
Right click the watermark image/text, and select Copy from the context menu. See screenshot: 3. Open the target document you will paste the watermark, and double click the header or footer area to activate the header and footer sections.
