okay today were going to be looking at how we can copy and paste a web address or really anything in general but im going to focus specifically on web addresses because students not only are researching on the internet but theyre needing to be able to give credit to with a resource just like we would write a bibliography using a book or a magazine or a newspaper so what ive done is ive done a simple search for kangaroo ive selected my source and what im going to do now is i want to copy and paste it now theres a couple ways you can do that one way is to simply click on it and if you click click or double click it will highlight the entire thing you can also click at the very end and hold down the button while you drag the mouse over to the end of the words okay once youve done that you can go up to edit and click on copy youll notice theres also a keyboard command for command c that button also used to be the apple key on on mac keyboards as well some of the students might

Open any file in Google Drive, click the Share button and youll get a URL (link) that others can use to access your file.
Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. On ribbon, on the Insert tab, select Link. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. In the Insert Hyperlink box, type or paste your link in the Address box.
If you want to copy a link from a webpage or app, tap and hold the link. From the pop-up menu, select Copy Link Address. Now, to paste the URL, find a text box somewhere. This can be a messaging app, the address bar in a new tab, a notes app, etc.
If youre using Windows 10, hold down Shift on your keyboard and right-click on the file, folder, or library for which you want a link. If youre using Windows 11, simply right-click on it. Then, select Copy as path in the contextual menu.
At the top of your browser, click the address bar to select the entire URL. Copy.
Open your Web browser (such as Chrome), select the text in your browsers address bar and delete it. Press Ctrl and V simultaneously to paste the URL you just copied into the address bar. Press enter and the browser will take you to the URL address.
Copy the URL based on your browser: Chrome: Tap the address bar. Below the address bar, next to the page URL, tap Copy . Firefox: Tap and hold the address bar. Tap Copy.
In Google Drive, open the file. Copy the file link from the address bar. In Gmail, click Compose​. Paste the file link in the email and in the link, change edit to copy.
Compose a new email. Add your text and highlight the part into which you want to insert a hyperlink. Click on the Insert link icon at the bottom of the email (or the shortcut of Ctrl + K on your keyboard). Type in the URL you want to link to and click OK.
