have you ever seen an article or blog post or website that you found really interesting that you might want to share with somebody but you werent really sure how to email the link well for example I want to email this blog post I wrote somebody so Im going to start by highlighting the title so I can paste that into the body of an email if I click and drag my mouse over the title its going to highlight it and I can either press ctrl C on my keyboard Ill right click and click on copy Im now going to go to Outlook compose a new email and in the body Im going to right click and press paste I could have also clicked control V or paste now back to the blog post in the address line Im going to click once and thats going to automatically highlight the URL if it doesnt I can just click and then hold down the left mouse key and drag it across until the entire address is highlighted then I can either press ctrl C on my keyboard or again right click and press copy and Ill go back to my

Because Family Tree Maker still syncs with Ancestry, a small segment of Family Tree Maker questions (those involving signing in to your Ancestry account or adjusting your Ancestry membership) can be addressed only by Ancestry.
Or if you already have a tree on Ancestry, you can download and link it to a new tree in Family Tree Maker by clicking Download from Ancestry on the New Tree tab in the Plan workspace. Once linked, the Online Sharing panel in Family Tree Maker will display the synchronization status of the two trees.
Family Tree Maker has ways to speed up citing the same source multiple times, such as when you find several members of a family in the same household in a census. To cite a source for the first person, highlight the census fact, look under the Sources tab and, in the right panel, select New > Add New Source Citation.
If your main tree is in Family Tree Maker, you can upload your tree to Ancestry by clicking the Upload and Link to Ancestry button on the Plan workspace. This will create a new linked online tree.
