The Polaroid Now works best with i-Type film, but it can also be used with 600. Restock your supply and choose film in black and white, color, plus other special editions here.
Polaroid SX-70, 600 and i-Type film measures exactly 3.108 3.024 inches (photo area) and 4.233 x 3.483 inches (total area).
The short answer is no! The I-Type instant films, such as the Polaroid Color Film for i-Type, cannot be used in the old Polaroid 600 or SX-70 cameras.
Instax film does not work in any Polaroid camera, including I-Type. So, in a nutshell, I-Type Polaroid Originals film is the same as 600 Polaroid Originals film, only I-Type doesnt have a battery and is cheaper.
Instant film has been available in sizes from 24 mm 36 mm (0.94 in 1.42 in) (similar to 135 film) up to 50.8 cm 61 cm (20 in 24 in) size, with the most popular film sizes for consumer snapshots being approximately 83 mm 108 mm (3.3 in 4.3 in) (the image itself is smaller as it is surrounded by a border).
Polaroid Color 600 Overview Producing natural, yet vibrant colors, this ISO 640 film offers a classic instant film look with its glossy 3.1 x 3.1 image area and traditional white borders.
In 1944, Polaroid created a special project dedicated to instant photography, code named SX-70 (SX meaning Special Experiment). Land devoted massive efforts toward the secret project, which took place concurrently with other routine Polaroid manufacturing activities.
You can shoot 600 cartridges in a SX-70 by putting a 2 Stop ND filter in front of the lens (which darkens your viewfinder image by 2 stops), or put a Pack-filter on top of the cartridge. However this makes no sense since there films sold that have the correct speed for the SX-70.
The Polaroid Now works best with i-Type film, but it can also be used with 600. Restock your supply and choose film in black and white, color, plus other special editions here.
The important difference between 600 and i-Type film is the absence of a battery inside the film cartridge. This means that i-Type film will not work with vintage Polaroid cameras. New Polaroid cameras have a built-in rechargeable battery, so they dont need a battery to power the camera.
