Copying and Pasting text is something you probably do on a computer all the time. But on iOS, on an iPhone or iPad, you may not do it as often because its a little tricky to do it and, you know, it wasnt really even available for the first couple versions of iOS. Even now its kind of clunky how it works. So lets look at how to do it and I think the thing is to try to force yourself to do it a few times. You get a little better at it and then you find you can use it just as easily as you can on a computer. So here I have some text here and Im in the Notes app just as an example. To select text you can do two different things. One is tap anywhere in the text and hold your finger there. You get this little magnifying glass. You can move this around and see the cursor in the middle. So move the cursor somewhere. You can move it to the beginning of the text you want to select or you can move it to the middle of a word. Lets move it to the middle of a word as an example. Now you get t

When you copy something, you leave what you are copying in the same place and make a copy of it in another place. However, when you move something, you are taking it from one place to another place. In other words, copying creates a duplicate and moving does not.
Switch to your Microsoft Word document, highlight the text you want to copy, and choose Edit > Copy from the menu bar. Switch back to your web browser, where you should still see the Paste From Word box. Click in this box, then choose Edit > Paste from the menu bar.
