Okay. Quick question. How long have you been alive? And no, Iamp;#39;m not asking you how old you are. I want you to really think about this for a second. This is a video about you at the smallest scale. So my actual question here is how long have the processes that make you, you know, you been working when you come at this from the biochemical angle, the answer here can get a little hazy. And if you stick with me, weamp;#39;re going to land on a pretty wild answer, because here it is, the real start of everything. This is your DNA being replicated. You have to hunt real hard to find a process more ancient and more fundamental to you and all other life on earth. All your growth, all your motion, the entire business of you being alive is built on this foundation. Weamp;#39;re looking at a complex of around about a dozen molecular processors working in perfect coordination, just to make sure that one set of DNA in one of your trillions of cells can turn into two sets of DNA And this i

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is regularly on the banned books list put out by the American Library Association. It has been banned because of vulgarity, racism, and its treatment of women. The challenges dont seem to go away as time goes on; even in the twenty-first century, the book is still being challenged.
One instance of repetition being utilized to reveal Lennies inner feelings is in page 12, when Lennie says to his companion, George, you want I should go away and leave you alone? I could go off in the hills there. Some place Id find a cave If you dont want me I can go off in the hills an find a cave.
Why does Steinbeck use repetition in Of Mice and Men? Steinbeck uses repetition to set certain characters apart from others, such as Lennie and George from all the other ranch hands. He also uses this method to separate Slim as the leader of the ranch hands.
For example, Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare used repetition when he said: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Oh, woeful, oh woeful, woeful, woeful day!
One example of alliteration in Of Mice and Men is the title itself. The repetitive m sound draws the readers attention to the title. Another example of alliteration is, Slims a jerkline skinner. The names of all the ranch hands are also alliterative: Candy, Crooks, Curley, and Carlson.
The reader sees four major motifs in Of Mice and Men: loneliness, the dream ranch, the river setting, and animal imagery. The motif of loneliness highlights the difficult choice George must make. The use of the recurring idea of the dream ranch highlights the theme that even the best-laid plans can sometimes go wrong.
The description includes: kewpie doll lamp, phonograph, rag rug, and flop. These allusions are specific to the historical and cultural situations established in the book. These specific references in this context are being used to describe a brothel or a place men can go to have relations with women.
Lennie constantly repeats the dialogue I dint mean no harm, George. This repetition highlights Lennies innocence and his lack of understanding of the consequences of his actions.
