hello and welcome back to another dont be Photoshop CC 2018 tutorial this one Im gonna show you how to copy layer styles easily and Im gonna show you two ways to do it the reason why you want to know how to do this is for especially for those you that are new to photoshop is you tend to do some work on one layer like Ive got four layers here and Ive done some work on this how-to and Ive created a you know I kind of cool-looking style here and I dont want to have to recreate this individually on each layer as and I dont want to go to this one and then recreate the bevel emboss recreate the stroke recreate the other glow etc etc so the way to do that is to go ahead and create your Styles like Ive done here Ill just click on them and Ill show you what we got weve got a bevel emboss we got a stroke weve got an outer glow and a drop shadow in this particular incident so what you do is you want to go to your effects and this is where it gets tricky because its not its not obv

To easily copy layer styles, simply put your cursor over the “FX” icon (found on the right side of the layer), then hold Alt (Mac: Option) and drag the “FX” icon to another layer.
Copy the text you need to paste, from wherever (web, other app, other Photoshop file). Select the Ps Type tool (you would be doing this anyway, because you're pasting into a text object). Select All from the Font drop-down and Copy again. Paste into your destination text object.
Copy type attributes (Eyedropper) You can use the Eyedropper tool to copy type attributes such as character, paragraph, fill, and stroke settings, and then apply those attributes to other type. By default, the Eyedropper tool copies all type attributes.
Open the image in Photoshop and select the Rectangular Marquee Tool. Use this tool to select the area of the image that contains the text you want to match. From the toolbar, choose Type > Match Font. Choose from the matched fonts already installed on your machine, or download from Typekit by clicking the cloud icon.
Copy type attributes (Eyedropper) You can use the Eyedropper tool to copy type attributes such as character, paragraph, fill, and stroke settings, and then apply those attributes to other type. By default, the Eyedropper tool copies all type attributes.
Select each font you want to copy. (Be sure to select all versions of the fonts you used. For example, also send Times Bold, Times Italic, and Times BoldItalic when sending Times Roman.) Next, right-click (and hold) on one of the selected fonts and drag onto the folder you created on the desktop.
First select the text layer in the layers palette. Then Ctrl-A to select all. Ctrl-C to copy. Save this answer.
Moving and Duplicating Layer Effects—You can quickly move and/or duplicate a Layer Effect using the Layers panel: To move a Layer Effect from one layer to another, drag the “fx” icon (or the word Effects). Option -drag (Mac) | Alt -drag (Win) to duplicate the Layer Effect.
First select the text layer in the layers palette. Then Ctrl-A to select all. Ctrl-C to copy. Save this answer.
Just press and hold the Alt (Win) / Option (Mac) key on your keyboard, and then click directly on the layer effect you want to copy and drag it on top of the layer where you want to paste it. Copying a single layer effect to another layer. The single effect has been copied.
