In most cases, a brown spot that appears on your ceiling is a water stain. More often than not, a water stain is caused by a leak from your roof, heating appliance, or plumbing. Water stains appear when liquid seeps into your ceiling and walls and then evaporates.
Dilute one part white distilled vinegar with one part water. In a bowl, mix 12 c (120 mL) of white vinegar with 12 c (120 mL) of water. Most other types of vinegar can stain paper, so be sure the vinegar you use is completely clear. White vinegar can remove other pigmented stains like ink, grass, or mustard.
Warm up an iron on low heat and place it on top of the paper for 5 seconds. Make sure it is covering the oil spot. Remove the iron after 5 seconds and check the oil stain, it will be lighter or possibly completely gone. Repeat the process as needed to continue to lift the stain.
Getting Coffee Stains Out: Use an acidic stain remover. A stain-removing chemical with a pH in the range of 3-4 will be highly effective on tannin-based stains like coffee or tea.
Coffee stain has little affinity to polyester fibers but adheres to cotton and even more firmly to nylon.
Make a mixture of water and white vinegar in a ratio of 3:1. Mix it in a bowl large enough to submerge the stain on the paper. Soak the stained paper in the vinegar solution for a few seconds. Remove the paper, and allow it to dry on a clean towel.
Damp cloth: If the dirt stain is stubborn and cannot be brushed away, a damp cotton swab or microfiber cloth works pretty well. Hold the print vertically and rub the blemish gently. Wipe off the moisture with a dry cloth and place the artwork in direct sunlight for quick drying.
DIY Stain Removal Solutions White Vinegar: A versatile solution, white vinegar can be mixed with water to tackle stains on various fabric types. Baking Soda: For odorous stains, baking soda is a powerful deodoriser.
