in our last lesson we increase font size added some styling and edit some color to our document in this lesson we will experiment with different line spacings to see if we can make our documents even more readable lets head over to Google Docs and launch our project document now before we get started take a good look at this document it doesnt look bad but each line of text is pretty close together we could add just a little bit more space in between those lines to make it a lot easier to read before we can change our line spacing however we need to select all of the text I can do this by hitting ctrl or command a or we can also go into the Edit menu and choose select all now that all the text is highlighted go up to the toolbar and click on the button with the vertical arrows beside some text that didnt make sense its this button right here now if you dont see this icon its likely youre using a smaller browser window and its under the more button in this case yours would look

You can copy the formatting of text, cells, or an object with the paint format tool. On your computer, open a Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides file. Select the text, range of cells, or object you want to copy the format of. In the toolbar, click Paint format. Select what you want to paste the formatting onto.
Once you have the file open on a computer, you can press Ctrl + A to select all the text and then go to Line paragraph spacing in the toolbar. First select Add space after paragraph and then select Remove space after paragraph.
To format paragraph spacing: Select the text you want to format. Click the Line spacing button. Select Add space before paragraph or Add space after paragraph from the drop-down menu. You can also click Custom spacing to fine-tune the spacing. The paragraph spacing will adjust in the document.
Keyboard shortcuts To copy the formatting of selected text: Press Ctrl + Alt + c (Windows or Chrome OS) or ⌘ + Option + c (Mac).
To double-space on Google Docs, click Line paragraph spacing Double. To double-space on the Google Docs app for Android and iOS, tap Format Paragraph. Under Line spacing, use the arrows to raise the value to 2.
By default, Word preserves the original formatting when you paste content into a document using CTRL+V, the Paste button, or right-click + Paste. To change the default, follow these steps. Go to File Options Advanced. Under Cut, copy, and paste, select the down arrow for the setting to change .
Adjust the Line Spacing in Google Docs Click the Line Paragraph Spacing button in the toolbar or select Format Line Paragraph Spacing in the menu. Youll then see a few preset options you can pick from including Single, 1.15, 1.5, and Double. Select the one you want to use, and youre set.
When youre on a computer, drag your cursor through the problem lines or press Ctrl + A to select your entire document. Then go to the line-spacing tool in the action bar and select Add/remove space before paragraph. You may need to click this twice to add space to the entire document and then remove the space.
Convert Files Automatically on Upload Click on the settings gear in the top-right corner and select Settings. Check the box for Convert uploaded files to Google Docs editor format and click Done.
Copy Formatting Using the Toolbar Menu Select the cell or range you want to copy the formatting from. Open the Edit menu, then choose Copy. Select the cell or range you want to copy the formatting to. Open the Edit menu and hover over the Paste Special submenu, click on the Paste Format Only option.
