How do you copy signature in Form W2 with DocHub?

What is a form W-2C? A W-2C is a form used to make corrections on previously issued wage/tax information (W-2s) from current or prior years. Like Form W-2, it is a multi-use form used to report corrected wages to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service), FTB (Franchise Tax Board), and SSA (Social Security Administration).
Copy B is used to report your federal income taxes and is generally filed with your federal income tax return unless you file electronically. In that case, you must provide your preparer with Copy B, but you dont typically need to forward it to IRS.
To qualify as a signed tax return the document must either: Be signed by at least one of the tax filers. The signature must be on the line on the tax return designated for the signature of the tax filer. Copy B is filed with your federal tax return. Copy 2 is used to report any state, city, or local income taxes. Copy C is for your records. Keep a W-2 for at least three years after you file or the due date of your return, whichever is later.

Copy B To be sent to the employee and filed by the employee with the employees federal income tax returns. Copy C To be sent to the employee, to be retained by the employee for the employees records. The IRS does accept scanned, photographed, or otherwise digitized images of signatures. For the IRS to accept these images, they have to be in a file format supported by Microsoft 365.
