Your signature doesnt have to be your full name. In fact, many documents ask for a signature, followed by your full name. Your signature can be your initials, your first or last name, or some combination. For example, if your name is Tom Smith, your signature could be Tom Smith, T Smith, or Tom S its up to you!
How to Electronically Capture Your Signature Sign a blank sheet of copy paper. Use the copier in your department to scan the page. Make sure you set the file type to JPG. Save the file to a location where it will be easily accessible. Using an app of your choosing, crop the scanned image to remove excess white space.
Originals of applications and petitions must be submitted unless previously filed with USCIS. Documents typically submitted as originals with the adjustment application may include a concurrently filed petition, the medical examination report, and affidavits.
If you are filing your form with a USCIS service center, we recommend that you do not: Hole punch, staple, paper clip, binder clip, or otherwise attach documents to one another. Include photos or documents smaller than 4x6 inches for evidentiary purposes. Provide photocopies of these items instead.

A signature is valid even if the original signature on the document is photocopied, scanned, faxed, or similarly reproduced. Regardless of how it is transmitted to USCIS, the copy must be of an original document containing an original handwritten signature, unless otherwise specified.
All forms and supporting documents submitted must be single-sided, standard 8 x 11 letter-size pages.
