How do I select and move a part of one image to another? Open both of your images in Photoshop. Click on the Quick Selection tool in the tool bar, as highlighted below. Using the Quick Selection tool, click and drag over the area of the first image that you want to move into the second image.

Copy a selection using commands In the Edit workspace, use a selection tool to select the area you want to copy. Do one of the following: Choose Edit Copy to copy the selection to the clipboard. Choose Edit Copy Merged to copy all layers in the selected area to the clipboard.
Open the destination image, which is the image you want to add a photo to, in Photoshop. Go to File Place Embedded. Use the file browser to locate the photo that you want to add to the existing image. Select it and then click Place.
Click Control+C to quick copy the cut pictures and Control+P to quick paste on your new photograph. The cut and paste Photoshop shortcuts apply to many other programs as well.
Hold the option key for a mac, or the alt key for windows, then click and drag the selection to where you want it positioned. This will duplicate the selected area inside of the same layer, and the duplicated area will stay highlighted so you can easily click and drag to duplicate it again.
Hold down Alt (Win) or Option (Mac), and drag the selection. To copy the selection and offset the duplicate by 1 pixel, hold down Alt or Option, and press an arrow key. To copy the selection and offset the duplicate by 10 pixels, press Alt+Shift (Win) or Option+Shift (Mac), and press an arrow key.
