The advantage of this over a regular backup is that you can run shadow copies when users are most likely to be changing or adding files. With traditional backups, the backup is usually run overnight. If the user was to accidentally delete a file during the day that was created that day, the file would be lost because the backup had not run yet. Shadow copies are very fast because they only save changes and work at the block level. When a file is first saved or modified, the shadow copy service needs to takes a complete copy of the file. Copy: Use Edit Copy or the keyboard shortcut Control+C or the Copy icon. Paste: Use Edit Paste or the keyboard shortcut Control+V or the Paste icon.
Select the text or WordArt that you want to format. On the Format tab, under Text Styles, click Effects, point to Shadow, and then click the shadow style that you want.
Select the picture, then chose Tools Eyedropper from the menu bar. Check the first checkbox and then move the mouse on the picture and click on the color you would like to make transparent. This color appears next to the checkbox. Make sure that Replace with is set to Transparent and click Replace.
Creating drawing objects Click in the document where you want the drawing to be anchored. Select the tool from the Drawing toolbar. Move the cross-hair pointer to the place in the document where you want the graphic to appear and then click-and-drag to create the drawing object.
In the character Properties area, there is a button for More Options. Click that button and a window opens with additional options. There are three tabs, one of which is for font effects. You can add shadow to your text in that area.
Add a shadow to an object Select the picture, AutoShape, WordArt, or text box that you want to change. On the Format tab, click Text Effects or Shape Effects Shadow. Do one of the following: Add or remove a shadow. To add a shadow, click the shadow style you want. To remove a shadow, click No Shadow.
