TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
Add a TXT record Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio. (Need help logging in? Select. Domain Edit Options next to your domain and then select Edit DNS. Select Add to add a new record. Select TXT from the Type menu options. Enter the details for your TXT record: Select Add Record to save your new TXT record.

TXT records are commonly used for Google Verification. The TXT Value is what the record points to, but these records arent used to direct any traffic. Instead theyre used to provide needed information to outside sources.

Once the changes have propagated across your domains web servers, click the Verify button at the bottom of the DNS Verification tab for the selected domain.
