There are times when using the standard ctrl-v or right click to paste in Google Docs just doesnt allow you to do what you want. When this is the case, try using the web clipboard. The web clipboard can be found on the top icon bar - in between the redo icon and the format painter icon.
Google Docs lets you copy and paste text and images between all of your docs -- even if youre going from one document type to another. You can either use keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V) or the web clipboard menu to copy and paste in Google Docs.
You might be able to copy and paste with the right-click menu, but for security reasons, most browsers dont allow web apps (like Docs, Sheets, and Slides) to use your computers clipboard through menus.
