Re: Problem printing from Open Office Check two things: in OpenOffice go to /Format /Page : Page tab and verify that you have selected A4 page size. Then, in /File /Print, if there is a properties button, press this and check that the printer is told to use A4 paper.
Fit to one page Click Page Layout. Click the small Dialog Box Launcher on the bottom right. ... Select the Page tab in the Page Setup dialog box. Select Fit to under Scaling. To fit your document to print on one page, choose 1 page(s) wide by 1 tall in the Fit to boxes. ... Press OK at the bottom of the Page Setup dialog box.
2nd: CTRL+A or "Select All" should do the trick.
For example, below are some of the settings (although not exhaustive) that can be included in a Writer document and then saved as a template for later use: Printer settings: which printer, single sided / double-sided, and paper size, and so on.
Setting the area to be printed Go to the desired sheet. Click and drag to select (highlight) the area of the sheet to be printed. Select Format → Print Ranges → Add from the main menu. Repeat the above steps for each sheet of the file to be printed.
Not all programs support the Print to file option....You may try these steps and check if it helps. On the File menu, click Print. In the Name box, click the printer you'll use to print the file. Select the Print to file check box, and then click OK. In the File name box in the Print to file dialog box, type a file name.
Select the area you'd like to print. Go to Format → print ranges → define. Go to Format → Page → Sheet → Fit print ranges on number of pages, then type “1” or however many pages you'd like. Print → Look at Print preview to make sure only 1 (or however many pages desired) is printed.
REVISED - In Calc, highlight the cells you want to print, click on Print, be sure to select the option Selected Cells (default is Selected Sheets) in the dialog box. Then OK. In Writer, highlight the lines you want to print, click on Print, be sure to select the Selection option in the dialog box, then OK.
