Do one of the following: Choose Select All to select all of the pixels in the layer, and choose Edit Copy. Then make the destination image active, and choose Edit Paste. Drag the layers name from the Layers panel of the source image into the destination image.
In the Edit workspace, use the Copy command to copy the part of the photo you want to paste. (You can even copy from photos in other applications.) Make a selection in the photo into which you want to paste the copied photo. Choose Edit Paste Into Selection.
How do I select and move a part of one image to another? Open both of your images in Photoshop. Click on the Quick Selection tool in the tool bar, as highlighted below. Using the Quick Selection tool, click and drag over the area of the first image that you want to move into the second image.
Copy the text you need to paste, from wherever (web, other app, other Photoshop file). Select the Ps Type tool (you would be doing this anyway, because youre pasting into a text object). Select All from the Font drop-down and Copy again. Paste into your destination text object.
First select the text layer in the layers palette. Then Ctrl-A to select all. Ctrl-C to copy. Save this answer.

Hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS), and drag the selection you want to copy and move. When copying between images, drag the selection from the active image window into the destination image window. If nothing is selected, the entire active layer is copied.
To copy and paste a selection in Photoshop, create an active selection with your desired selection tool. Then right-click within the selection and choose Layer Via Copy to copy the selections contents and paste it to a new layer. Alternatively, press Command or Control + C.
