Hi everyone, my name is Kevin. Today Im going to show you how you can take a sheet of text and convert it into text that you can then edit in Microsoft Word. You dont need any other applications except for Microsoft Word to be able to do this. Well, so how do we take this piece of text and convert it into text on my computer? Well, the first thing that were going to do is you take a picture if this with your smartphone, itll save it as a JPEG, and then youre going to get that photo on your computer. So, here I am on my desktop and Ive actually already done those steps, so we dont have to jump through those, and here Im going to open up the, the image that I took. So, I just took a picture of this, and this is kind of a funny thing that we have in Seattle, but you get these vouchers in the mail and you can support different candidates using basically taxpayer money to support whoever you want. Is that a good, is it a bad thing? Well, hey, Im not here to

Not adding pictures on a resume is not only an aesthetic choice, but as we can conclude, it adds no real value to your selection process. Chances are that it may hurt yourchances of getting hired. So, do not include a picture in your resume unless your recruiter asks for it. You can explore more resume tips here!
For a job application, you should use a photo specifically designed for this purpose (no old Facebook pictures). Use a photo that shows your entire face (evenly lit) and where youre looking directly into the camera (a bit of a smile is OK). The background should be neutral.
Pictures can cause discrimination in the hiring process Photos on resumes can be risky because of unconscious bias and discrimination. Because of that risk, many employers in the United States prefer to avoid resumes with photos altogether. It keeps them from being liable for breaking strict anti-discrimination laws.
These are some steps you can follow to take a professional headshot: Ask a friend or use a tripod. Find your location and lighting. Prepare for your headshot. Check the angle of the camera. Set the camera in different modes. Choose a plain background. Try different poses. Use photo editing apps to fix issues.
Similarly, employers should not ask for a photograph of an applicant. If needed for identification purposes, a photograph may be obtained after an offer of employment is made and accepted.
Well, in many countries, the typical resume rules arent so black and white. Recruiters will be used to receiving resumes/CVs with or without resume photos, depending on the occupation in question. When in doubt, to err on the safe side, we suggest not including a photo.
Since photos can be distracting, take up room on a resume, and generally look out of place for most job submissions, skip adding a photo to your resume for most professions. But, there are exceptions to the rule. In addition to your location, your industry sometimes calls for it.
