How to copy picture in the BMI Chart

BMI, or Body Mass Index, measures body fat based on height and weight. A high BMI increases the risk of certain diseases. It is calculated by dividing weight in kilograms by height in meters squared. For example, to convert 175 pounds to kilograms, multiply by 0.4536, resulting in 79.38 kg. To convert height, first convert 5 feet 9 inches to inches (5 feet × 12 inches = 60 inches + 9 inches = 69 inches). Convert inches to meters by multiplying by 0.0254, yielding 1.75 meters. Using these values, the BMI formula gives 79.38 kg divided by 1.75 meters squared, resulting in a BMI of 25.8. A formula for BMI using pounds and inches is also provided along with a weight chart.

The BMI chart hasnt been updated since 2000, when it was based on population data from 1963 to 1980. Under the previous charts, it was difficult to categorize the severity of obesity, Dr. Paula Newton, a pediatrician at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, told healthline.com.
BMI ranges below 18.5 youre in the underweight range. between 18.5 and 24.9 youre in the healthy weight range. between 25 and 29.9 youre in the overweight range. 30 or over youre in the obese range.
If your BMI is 18.5 to 24.9, it falls within the Healthy Weight range. If your BMI is 25.0 to 29.9, it falls within the overweight range. If your BMI is 30.0 or higher, it falls within the obese range.
BMI Chart Find your height on the side (in metres on the left and in feet on the right) and draw a horizontal line across the chart. Find your weight (in kilograms across the bottom of in pounds across the top) and draw a vertical line across the chart. The shaded area where the 2 lines meet is your BMI.
18.5-24.9 = normal weight. 25.0-29.9 = overweight. 30.0+ = obese.
A BMI of 18.524.9 is considered normal or healthy for most women. Even though healthcare professionals can use BMI as a screening tool, they shouldnt use it as a method to evaluate a persons body fat levels or health status ( 32 ). Keep in mind that health is much more than body weight or body composition.
