1099-MISC 1099-NEC Payer Copies Payer 1099 Copies are for record purposes only. These can be printed on plain paper or the four part perforated paper.
Create your 1099s. When complete, choose the Ill file myself option. Choose the type of form you are printing: 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, or 1096. Check if the forms align properly by selecting Print sample on blank paper.
Paper for Printing Tax Forms You can use plain white paper to print W-2 Copy A and W-3 forms. For Form 1099s, Copy A uses red ink and must be ordered from the IRS or purchased from a tax supply vendor. All other parts of Form 1099 can be printed on plain white paper.

You should have the following on hand to fill out the 1099-MISC form: Payers (thats you!) name, address, and phone number. Your TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) Recipients TIN. Recipients name and address. Your account number, if applicable. Amount you paid the recipient in the tax year.
To print the 1099 form you send to the IRS select Print data only on a preprinted Red-ink Laser form [Copy A for Social Security on red-ink form] . Please make sure you have pre-printed 1099-MISC in the printer before you hit the OK button.
