hi folks its mike murphy and todays quick tip is in docHub photoshop cc 2021 this is after the may 2021 update in this tutorial im going to show you how to use the save a copy option in case youre trying to save a layered photoshop document as a jpeg or a png file and youre not seeing those options in the format drop down menu so here i have a layered photoshop document and im trying to export it as a flat file so i can use as a thumbnail so normally id go to file save as in the format drop down menu id select this and choose jpeg but youll see im only limited to a few options to fix this i need to click this button right here save a copy you can see by the tool tip that you need to use save a copy for jpegs or png images so go ahead and click on save a copy and now when you click on the drop down menu you will see jpeg youll see png and all the other options if you are working on a layered photoshop document and you want to export it as a flat file such as a jpeg or a png fi
