The page count of a script is crucial because it directly correlates to the length of the finished film. The general script page to minutes rule of thumb is that one page of a screenplay equates to one minute of screen time. Of course, this is not a hard and fast rule and there are always exceptions.
There are only a few simple rules to remember when numbering a screenplay page: Rule #1: The Title page has no page number. Rule #2: The first page of your screenplay has no page number. Rule #3: The second page and every page thereafter has a page number.
Numbers should have a period after. The first page is not numbered. The title page is not numbered and does not count as page one. The first page to have a number is the second page of the screenplay (the third sheet of paper including the title page), which is numbered 2.
Technical Support. Jan 17, 2022Knowledge Yes. Go to Document Header and Footer and click on the Options tab. The default starting page number is 1; overtype this with the number you want and click OK.
Final Draft Simply copy and paste the pages you want into a new document, name it something like Myscript Pages 25-35 and save it.
Click the Print Settings tab. Under Headers and Footers, click Header or Footer. In the Insert AutoText box, do one of the following: To print the current page number in the header or footer, click Current Page.
Page Numbers Placed in the upper right corner of the page, a half-inch from the top of the page. The title page isnt numbered, and neither is the first page of the actual screenplay. So the first time a page number appears is on the third page (the actual second page of the screenplay) and is numbered 2.
Pages should be numbered in the top right corner, flush to the right margin, a half-inch from the top of the page. Numbers should be followed by a period. The first page is not numbered.
