Other Options to Copy Text From a Secured PDF Upload the PDF to Google Drive and convert it to a Word document to remove the security features and copy your text. Use a Snapshot tool that can read the text from the image and convert it to a copyable text format.
Go to Edit- Preferences- General and under Accessibility, check to see that the Document Color Options have text set to Black. Under File-Print click on the Advanced button and select the Print As Image checkbox- try printing with that set and see if it prints out darker.
How to make a PDF file size smaller. Visit Acrobat online services and navigate to the Compress page by clicking Compress in the menu. Click or tap on the Select a file button. Choose the file from your device or from a cloud service like Google Drive. Your file will upload and compress.

Most likely because the file is composed of images (possibly scans) and does not contain any real text. If you cant select the text with the text selection tool then you cant highlight it, either. Use other markup tools, like the Square tool, instead.
Select Accessibility in the Categories section. Check the box next to Replace Document Colors. Select a darker color combination from the drop-down menu next to High Contrast Color Combinations or go to Custom Color and pick a darker color for the Page Background and Document Text. When done, click OK.
