1. Master Keyboard Shortcuts for Faster File Copying Press Ctrl + X to cut a file. This moves the file to your clipboard so you can paste it to another location. Use Ctrl + C to copy instead. Copying is like cutting, except the original file remains after youve pasted a copy. Ctrl + V is the shortcut to paste.
Right-click the selected text and choose Cut or Copy. Use the key shortcut Ctrl + X to cut or use Ctrl + C to copy.
Select the text you want to copy and press Ctrl+C. Place your cursor where you want to paste the copied text and press Ctrl+V.
Text takes on the style of the recipient document So when you paste your text into the other document, it takes on the formatting of Normal style in that other document. If the Normal style in the other document is Arial 11pt, then thats how your text will appear.
Click the down-arrow on the Paste Options button and youll see a menu with icons that lets you format copied text in different ways.Using the Paste Options button Keep Source Formatting: Keeps the formatting of the text you copied. Use Destination Styles: Matches the formatting where you pasted your text.

After selecting the text you want to revise, you can type, or tap the selection to see editing options: Cut: Tap Cut or pinch closed with three fingers two times. Copy: Tap Copy or pinch closed with three fingers. Paste: Tap Paste or pinch open with three fingers. Select All: Select all the text in the document.
Copy and paste multiple items using the Office Clipboard Open the file that you want to copy items from. Select the first item that you want to copy, and press CTRL+C. Continue copying items from the same or other files until you have collected all of the items that you want. Click where you want the items to be pasted.
Follow the steps below to use it. Select the block of text you want to copy. Press Ctrl+F3. This will add the selection to your clipboard. Repeat the two steps above for each additional block of text to copy. Go to the document or location where you want to paste all of the text. Press Ctrl+Shift+F3.
