Possibly. Early walk-in appointments are available at some Application Support Centers (ASCs). To find out if you can do an early walk-in for your biometrics appointment, you must call your local ASC or U.S. consulate to determine if they allow that.
If you have received neither a receipt notice for your application nor a biometrics notice in over three months, USCIS might have the wrong address on file. Contact USCIS at 800-375-5283 to see whether it can send the receipt notice and biometrics to the correct address.
After you file your application, petition, or request, we will schedule your biometric services appointment at a local Application Support Center (ASC) if you need to provide your fingerprints, photograph, and/or signature.
You might even get the initial appointment notice before you receive confirmation from USCIS that your application package has been processed. The actual appointment, however, is usually scheduled between 58 weeks after your filing date.
What Happens After The Biometrics Appointment? Once your biometrics screening is over, the USCIS officer will put a stamp on your appointment notice, confirming that you submitted biometrics for your background check. Make sure you keep this document in a safe place and have it ready to show if the need arises.
If you already know what forms you need, you can download them from our Web site at .uscis.gov. You can also order forms by calling our forms request line at 1-800-870-3676.
You must also bring: Your ASC appointment notice (Form I-797C). If you received multiple biometrics appointment notices, please bring all notices to your appointment at the application support center; and. Valid photo identification (such as your Green Card, passport, or drivers license)
The appointment will take place before you receive any benefits or a card in the mail. The letter will arrive as an Application Support Center (ASC) Appointment Notice (Form I-797C, Notice of Action) and will include information about the date, time and location for your ASC appointment.
USCIS field offices do not allow walk-ins. You must have an appointment to visit an office. Field offices in the U.S. and its territories provide: Interviews for all non-asylum cases (for example, getting a Green Card);
