1 Correct answer. In the Layers Pane, select the top layer, hold down the Shift key and select the bottom layer. That selects all layers.
To duplicate and rename the layer, choose Layer Duplicate Layer, or choose Duplicate Layer from the Layers panel More menu. Name the duplicate layer, and click OK.
The easiest shortcut to duplicating an image is the Copy and Paste method where you simply hit Command + C then Command + V (Mac) or Ctrl + C then Ctrl + V (PC). This will create a duplicate of the image within the project in a new layer.
Double-click layer icon (with the T on it). This will automatically select the text in the layer. Then you can use the copy and paste functionality (Control-C to copy).
In the Edit workspace, select the Move tool from the toolbox. Press Alt (Option in Mac OS) while dragging the selection you want to copy and move. To make additional copies of the same selection, do one of the following: Hold down Alt (Option in Mac OS) while dragging the selection to each new location.
When you copy and paste from the same image, you may want the new layer to be pasted into exactly the same position as where it was copied from. To keep your paste in place, hold the Shift key as you press Ctrl V (Mac: Command V) to paste.
Click on any layer in your layers panel the hold Option (Mac) or Alt (PC) and click and drag your layer upwards. Let go of your mouse to duplicate the layer. The beauty of this shortcut is you can also duplicate layers in your canvas as well. While using your move tool, select a layer in your canvas to adjust.
To make a copy of your current layer and have it appear in the exact same place in a different Photoshop document, in the Layers palette Control-click (PC: Right-click) on the layer you want to copy, and choose Duplicate Layer.
