On the good table run SHOW CREATE TABLE [tablename] . Copy the index lines and use those in a script to run the equivalent ALTER TABLE CREATE INDEX for every other table. If you want the whole thing completely automated youd have to parse the index definitions from a SHOW INDEXES or SHOW CREATE TABLE call.
The indexes need to be defined as part of the table structure and need to be generated for any existing data that may be in the table. The only way to do this is during the CREATE TABLE statement of by using an ALTER TABLE statement after the table has been created.
Just pass the address of the first letter you want to copy: strcpy(dest, c[13]) . If you want to end before the string ends, use strncpy or, better, memcpy (dont forget to 0-terminate the copied string).
Using cstr() with strcpy() A way to do this is to copy the contents of the string to the char array. This can be done with the help of the cstr() and strcpy() functions of library cstring.
We can use string function strncpy() to copy part strings. Part of the second string is added to the first string. strcpy(destinationstring, sourcestring, n);
copy complete data create table destinationtable like sourcetable. insert into destinationtable select * from sourcetable. insert into destinationtable select * from sourcetable where city=New York insert into destinationtablenew (address,city,pincode) select address,city,pincode from sourcetable;
Copy a table from one database to another. In MySQL, the easiest way to copy a table with its data between two databases is to use the CREATE TABLE AS statement, but note, that you need to provide the target database name as a table prefix. CREATE TABLE new-database-name. new-table-name AS SELECT * FROM old-database.
The C library function to copy a string is strcpy(), which (Im guessing) stands for string copy. Heres the format: char * strcpy(char * dst, const char * src); The dst is the destination, src is the source or original string.
Use SHOW CREATE TABLE command to get a CREATE TABLE statement that specifies the source tables structure, indexes and all. Modify the statement to change the table name to that of the clone table and execute the statement. This way you will have an exact clone table.
Re: oracle - copy index from one schema to another you just re-create it using the same definition. Idealy you simply have the defintion script handy. You could have copied data + index using an export + import. You can still use export with parameters ROWS=N, INDEXES=Y, to just get index definitions to a file.
