You dont need any other applications except for Microsoft Word to be able to do this. Well, so how do we take this piece of text and convert it into text on my computer? Well, the first thing that were going to do is you take a picture if this with your smartphone, itll save it as a JPEG, and then youre going to get that photo on your computer. So, here I am on my desktop and Ive actually already done those steps, so we dont have to jump through those, and here Im going to open up the, the image that I took. So, I just took a picture of this, and this is kind of a funny thing that we have in Seattle, but you get these vouchers in the mail and you can support different candidates using basically taxpayer money to support whoever you want. Similarly, employers should not ask for a photograph of an applicant. If needed for identification purposes, a photograph may be obtained after an offer of employment is made and accepted.
Recruiters will be used to receiving resumes/CVs with or without resume photos, depending on the occupation in question. When in doubt, to err on the safe side, we suggest not including a photo.
In general, it is illegal to ask an applicant to include a photograph with a job application. Several laws prevent employers from doing this. These include the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 and the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978.
Department of Fair Employment Housing regulations forbid it. Q: If someone sees that ad, what can they do in response? A: If they see such a request in an ad, and they want to apply for the job, they may want to submit an application without a photo and note that the request is not permitted under California (law).
In general, avoid putting a photo on your resume. Studies show recruiters spend less than seven seconds looking at a resume, so you dont want to distract them in any way. Resume photos can be a distraction.
Open your resume file in a word processor. Choose Select All from the Edit menu of your word processor. Select Copy from the Edit menu of the word processor. This action copies the resume to the Clipboard.
Not adding pictures on a resume is not only an aesthetic choice, but as we can conclude, it adds no real value to your selection process. Chances are that it may hurt yourchances of getting hired.
