do you need to copy headers or footers from one document to another in this quick tip i show you how easy it is to do [Music] [Applause] [Music] there have been lots of times when ive developed two closely related documents most of the time one document is a variant of the other if i want to copy a header or footer from one of the documents to the other then there are specific steps i go through these steps arent fancy as they rely on standard editing techniques let me show you how quickly you can do this notice that i have two documents open on the screen theyre just sort of tiled on top of each other or layered on top of each other here one of them has a header in it and if we go to the other you can see it doesnt have a header in it to start this process i want to make sure that i select the document that has the header in it then im going to go ahead and double click in the header which opens the header area notice that the insertion point is within the header area now im go

How to conditionally print Continued if the group spans more than one page in Crystal Reports Right-click on the Group Header and select Change Group. On the Options tab, mark the Repeat Group Header on Each Page checkbox. Click OK. Create a formula to display the group name:
To create a Page Header in Subreport, follow the steps: In the Subreport, create a formula: @SamplePageHeader (name of formula) Go to the Insert menu. Click Group. Select the @SamplePageHeader formula from Common tab. Check the Repeat Group Header on Each Page from Options tab. Click OK.
Go to the Subreport tab. Click the X+2 button across from on-demand subreport caption In the Formula Editor window, enter the text that you want to display or select a field/formula from the Report Fields list. Click Save and Close.
Getting Page Header to appear in sub-reports In the subreport, create a formula: Go to the Insert menu and click Group. Select the Repeat Group Header on Each New Page option, and click OK. Go to Report menu and click Group Expert.
To print the Page Header and Footer when drilling down: In Crystal Reports, open the report, or create a new report. On the File menu, click Report Options. Select the option Show All Headers on drill-down. Selecting this option results in the following sections printing when drilling down on a report:
Resolution In Crystal Reports, open your report. Create a new formula, called: New Header, and enter the following code: Save and close the formula. Under the menu Insert, select Group In Insert Group, select in the first drop-down list the formula: New Header, and click OK
Release the left-hand mouse key. The selected fields are highlighted. Select the Copy button in the Crystal Reports Viewer. The highlighted selection(s) are copied to the clipboard, ready for pasting into another application.
Grouping Data: Select Insert, Group from the menu bar. Select the field to group the data by from the top drop-down list. Select the sort direction from the second drop-down list. Mark the Customize Group Name Field (only available in Crystal Reports 8.5) checkbox to show a different value in the group header. Click OK.
