hello and welcome to the video by Trump Excel I am so mad bun sir and in this video I will show you how to copy and paste formulas in Excel without changing the cell references here I have these numbers 1 to 10 and in column B I have this formula a1 + a2 and when you go down the cell it becomes a 2 plus a 3 and then a 3 plus a 4 now see what happens when I copy these cells and I paste it here in column D the reference changes here it was a1 + a2 but here it becomes C 1 plus C 2 this happens because when I copy B cells and I pasted 2 columns to the right Excel also changes the reference and assumes that now the calculation also needs to shift by 2 columns to the right now this is useful in a lot of cases but what if you do not want this what if you only want to copy the exact formula and not the relative thing so in this video I will show you a couple of ways to do this before I show you those methods there is another thing you need to know you can use absolute references so in this ca

The most basic way is to enter the formula in the first cell of the column, Edit Copy, select all the other cells in the column, Edit Paste. (You must use Copy; do not use Cut.) You can enter the formula in the first cell of the column, select it and the other cells in the column, Edit Fill Down.
Select the cell with the formula (click/drag to another cell, then drag back so that only one cell is selected). Copy. Select the target cells. Paste.
Select Your Range Before You Begin Highlight all of the cells in the sheet to which youll apply the formatting rules. Click Conditional Formatting. Select Highlight Cells Rules, then choose the rule that applies to your needs. Fill out the Less Than dialog box and choose a formatting style from the dropdown.
Select the formula in the cell using the mouse, and press Ctrl + C to copy it. Select the destination cell, and press Ctl+V. This will paste the formula exactly, without changing the cell references, because the formula was copied as text.
Select the cell that contains the formula you want to move. Click Home Cut (or press Ctrl + X). Select the cell you want the formula to be in, and then click Paste (or press Ctrl + V). Verify that the cell references are still what you want.
Heres how: Select all the data in the worksheet. Keyboard shortcut: Press CTRL+Spacebar, on the keyboard, and then press Shift+Spacebar. Copy all the data on the sheet by pressing CTRL+C. Click the plus sign to add a new blank worksheet. Click the first cell in the new sheet and press CTRL+V to paste the data.
Select the cell that contains the formula you want to move. Click Home Cut (or press Ctrl + X). Select the cell you want the formula to be in, and then click Paste (or press Ctrl + V).
