hello and thanks for coming today were going to learn about a useful formatting tool that can save you a bunch of time in either Google Docs or Google sheets first lets look at one of our documents that I have open over here lets say that I want to make our titles stand out by bolding it thats easy enough I just highlight it and bold it and its done now Ive got more headings throughout this document I certainly could go through and highlight each one of them and bold them individually but thats not the most efficient means we have of doing this within Google Docs instead lets click on this little icon in the upper left hand corner which looks just like a paint roller this is the paint format icon so now I can use this to just apply the desired formatting to other pieces in my document if you double click the icon instead you lock it allowing you to rapidly go through a document applying the formatting wherever you might need it this tool works exactly the same way in sheets an

For me it was simple. Click the cell whose formula you want to copy once (select it) Copy the cells contents ( Ctrl + C on Windows, cmd + C on macOS) Hold Shift + Ctrl + Down (selecting all of the cells in that row) Now Paste the formula as you have all of the cells selected.
Here's what you can do: Highlight all cells you need to modify. Take all formulas to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C on your keyboard. Then press Ctrl+Shift+V to paste back the values only: Tip. Ctrl+Shift+V is the Google Sheets shortcut for Paste values only (right-click a cell > Paste special > Paste values only).
This worked for me: Input the formula in the first cell. Press Enter . Click on the first cell and press Ctrl + Shift + down_arrow . This will select the last cell in the column used on the worksheet. Ctrl + D . This will fill copy the formula in the remaining cells.
