Inserting a SketchUp Model into Your Document Navigate to the page where you want to insert a SketchUp model. Select File Insert from the menu bar. In the Open dialog box that appears, navigate to the SketchUp model file, select it, and click Open. Your SketchUp model appears in the document area.
There are several ways to copy an object, most commonly by a copy constructor or cloning. Copying is done mostly so the copy can be modified or moved, or the current value preserved. If either of these is unneeded, a reference to the original data is sufficient and more efficient, as no copying occurs.
To start, go to File Export 2D Graphic. Youll see a typical save window popup. Choose the desired format and then click on the Options button next to the format toggle. By default, SketchUp will want to export your actual screen as is.
Heres how to copy and paste in SketchUp: Using the Select Tool ( ) or the Lasso Select tool ( ), select the geometry you want to copy. Choose Edit Copy from the menu bar or use a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+C for Windows, Command+C for macOS) to copy your selection.
Select the group and hit Ctrl+C to copy it. Go to the other SketchUp session and click on EditPaste in place. This should put a copy of the group in the same location relative to the model origin as it was in the original file.
Usage Press the Body button. An empty Body is created and automatically becomes active. Now you can press New sketch to create a sketch in the Body that can be used with Pad. Alternatively, add a primitive PartDesign Feature, for example, Additive box.
Select the data to copy. Press the [Ctrl] key while dragging the selection to the desired location. Release the mouse before releasing the [Ctrl] key.
Copy specific content from a PDF Right-click the document, and choose Select Tool from the pop-up menu. Drag to select text, or click to select an image. Right-click the selected item, and choose Copy.
To make copies, activate the Move tool and press the Ctrl key (Option on the Mac). SketchUp is very flexible in how you can set the spacing and number of copies: After the first copy is made, you can enter the number of copies you want and set the spacing between them.
