hello my name is dawn Warner I work for Autodesk supporting the inventor product and in this short video I would simply like to show you a quick way of how you can copy features into your model without going through the project or recreating sketches in this example you could see this bottom plate with holes I would simply like to go ahead and make the same plate on the top side of the surface normally what people can do is create sketches projection and then go ahead and re extruding so in this case what I want to do is Im going to highlight the plate and the holes in the browser you should control key to do such once both of these are highlighted if I left click and hold and drag this into the drawing window and release I will now get this paste features and simply looking for a profile plane so in this example I can simply come at the top here and pick the plane that I want to plate that say okay or finish you could actually rotate it here if you wanted to and now you can see that
