Custom facts are the Ansible facts created by users. These facts are not available by default and can be stored locally on managed hosts. To create a custom fact, the directory, /etc/ansible/facts. d must be created on the Ansible control node or on the managed hosts, and the custom facts file must have the .
Copy vs. Copy: Uses the Ansible controller to transfer individual files or content to remote hosts. Synchronize: Uses the rsync protocol to efficiently transfer and synchronize multiple files or directories between the controller and remote hosts.
The Ansible copy module also allows you to move a file within a remote location from one directory to another. You just need to apply the parameter remotesrc: yes . Its important to note that this will only work for files and not directories.
Ansible facts are data related to your remote systems, including operating systems, IP addresses, attached filesystems, and more. You can access this data in the ansiblefacts variable. By default, you can also access some Ansible facts as top-level variables with the ansible prefix.

It allows you to retrieve files from remote hosts and store them locally on the Ansible control machine.
The ansible. builtin. copy module copies a file or a directory structure from the local or remote machine to a location on the remote machine. File system meta-information (permissions, ownership, etc.) may be set, even when the file or directory already exists on the target system.
synchronize is a wrapper around rsync to make common tasks in your playbooks quick and easy. It is run and originates on the local host where Ansible is being run. Of course, you could just use the command action to call rsync yourself, but you also have to add a fair number of boilerplate options and host facts.
