Pages, Numbers, and Keynote were once part of the iWork app suite and now function as individual applications while sharing a large common code base. This allows for easy content transfer between them through copy and paste. For example, users can move data from Numbers to Keynote or Pages effortlessly. In a practical demonstration, the speaker shows how to copy elements from a Numbers table and chart to add them to a Keynote presentation. Additionally, they illustrate adding graphics to a Pages document by selecting multiple elements and using the copy shortcut (Command C). This interoperability highlights the convenience of working across these apps.
