Ctrl + X Cut the selected item. Ctrl + C (or Ctrl + Insert) Copy the selected item. Ctrl + V (or Shift + Insert) Paste the selected item.
The correct option is Ctrl + D. The command to duplicate an object is Ctrl-D (D for duplicate).
Cut, copy, paste, and other common shortcuts Command-X: Cut the selected item and copy it to the Clipboard. Command-C: Copy the selected item to the Clipboard. Command-V: Paste the contents of the Clipboard into the current document or app. Command-Z: Undo the previous command. Command-A: Select All items.
In the Shortcuts app on your Mac, select a shortcut, then choose Edit Duplicate (or Press Command-D).
Just select an item and press the Command + D keys to duplicate. In this case, a duplicate file will also receive a word copy in its title by default.
Press Command-C on your keyboard to copy the selected item. Or choose Copy from the Edit menu in the menu bar. Or Control-click (or right-click) the item you selected, then choose Copy from the shortcut menu.
Press Alt+Shift+D to duplicate the current tab (Option+Shift+D on Mac).

Faster method of Copy and Paste: Select the item you want to Copy. Hold down the Command key (⌘) and press ( C ) Inside the location where you want to save the file, hold down the Command key (⌘) and press (V).
