In the original drawing select the objects to copy (tip: use right-click Isolate Objects or use Quick Select). Right-click Clipboard Copy with Base Point. Switch to the new drawing and set the target layer as current. Right-click Clipboard Paste to Original Coordinates.
Drag the settings between drawings In the target drawing, select the Settings tab of the TOOLSPACE palette. Choose Master view from the drop-down list on top of the palette. Expand the settings tree to locate desired styles from the source drawing. Drag them and drop to the target drawing setting tree or model space.
You can cut or copy an object to place it on the Clipboard and paste it into a drawing or another application. Cutting an object places it on the Clipboard and removes it from the drawing. Copying an object places it on the Clipboard but keeps the original in the drawing.
How to copy custom drawing properties from drawing to drawing in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT Open the drawing that contains the custom drawing properties. On the command line in AutoCAD, type and choose Edit template. In Edit Propulate Template dialog window, click the Template menu and choose Fill from Current Drawing.
The Save icons in the user interface all use the QSAVE command. SAVEAS. Saves a copy of the current drawing under a new file name or location. The new file name or location becomes the current drawing and the previous drawing closes without saving any changes to it.
Open both the source drawing and the destination drawings. While in the destination drawing, enter DC on the command line. Select the Open Drawings tab in the Design Center dialog. Expand the source drawing tree. Select Layouts in the tree. Select the desired layout(s) to import. Right-click and select Add Layout(s).
With two drawings open, in the first drawing, in Toolspace, on the Setting tab, expand the Pipe Networks collection, and then expand the Parts Lists collection. Select the desired parts list, drag it (click and hold) to anywhere in the drawing area of the second drawing, and then release the mouse cursor (drop).
