hello everybody this will be short tutorial on how to copy all files from one directory to another included all hidden files lets copy all files from the current directory and lets check the listing first you can see we have a lot of files including hidden files and directories and lets create our target directory in the MP dr1 lets try to copy using CP command - R which means recursive star /tmp /d R 1 star means match all files and lets try to copy it if we will try to get listing of our target directory you will see there is a problem here we dont have our hidden files but it is easy to fix let me clear screen type in CP - r dot so instead of star were using dot and then path to your target directory TMP d r2 in this method we dont even need to create our target directory it will be created automatically press ENTER and lets check the listing of target directory into u2 now you can see we have all our hidden files and also you can use the same CP command but specify full p
