Just as every organization that awards scholarships has their own qualifying criteria, they also have their own selection and notification process. Some scholarship administrators send notifications only to successful applicants while others send out award and rejection letters.
Writing Your Scholarship Application Essay Plan ahead. Dont procrastinate! Talk about your accomplishments. Be clear and to the point. State your need. What is your financial situation? Keep it simple. Dont use unnecessary words (i.e., dont use three words when one will do) Make it easy on your reader.
Send a follow-up email. You may not get a response, depending on the applicant pool size, but in some cases, you may hear back on your application status. It doesnt hurt to ask just to give you some peace of mind. This is also good rule of thumb if you later realize you forgot to submit a portion of your application.
However, some program managers may opt to send rejection letters to ineligible candidates that have been eliminated prior to these interviews. Scholarship rejection letters tend to be short and to the point, but you may be wondering what to include in yours?
How scholarship review processes work. Scholarship providers usually only start reviewing applications once the deadline passes. They then usually choose a winner within 3 months of the deadline. If youve won, theyll contact you by phone or email, and explain to you how youll receive your scholarship prize money.
Send a follow-up email Give your application about 7 10 days to docHub the scholarship provider and be processed along with the other applications, then send an email asking if they received your application. Granted, you may not get a response, depending on the applicant pool, but in some cases you may.
