There are a gazillion ways to use it: to reorganize the text within a document, copy information from one file to another, from one app to another, even to rearrange your files and folders. It all boils down to four easy steps: 1. Select 2. Cut OR Copy 3. Move 4. Paste but many people are confused about it and for good reason, as youll see. To select nonconsecutive items using the mouse: Select the first piece of text. Hold down the Control key and use the mouse to select the next piece of text. Repeat as often as needed.
Paste with ctrl+V and it pastes normally. Paste with Windowskey+V and it strips all the formatting from what is on the clipboard, and picks up the formatting at the cursor location. Its absolutely magic. Even better, it works in any application.
Alternatively, you can: go into Edit mode (F2) or click in the cell. highlight the contents of the cell. use Ctrl+C (Cmd+C for Mac) to copy the highlighted contents. click the cell where you want the copy put. ONE CELL ONLY. use Ctrl+v (Cmd+v for Mac) to paste the information you copied into the new cell.
