I copied battles and links we can use the CP command do it left to see the files that are currently available we can copy files like rocket history txt we say CP and then the name of the file and then the place to which we want to copy it we just want to put a copy in the current directory were going to rename the files to the new file and now well have a copy we want to copy directories we have to do a little bit more lets make a directory well put a file in it lists the contents of the test directory we can see that we have a file on side so please say copy the test directory to the test two directory we get in here because we cant copy directories without one extra command - capital R which is for recurse which means go into or dive into the first directory and copy everything file by file now we can see we have the test - directory after list the contents of the testdir directory we see inside the rocket history - dot txt file
