Code Behind refers to the code for an ASP.NET Web page that is written in a separate class file that can have the extension of . aspx. cs or . aspx.
Solution 1. Open the ASPX page in a web browser such as Firefox or Google Chrome, and choose Save As - you should have the option to save the page as an HTML file.
Save your ASPX file to OXPS format. To do that, open the ASPX file, go to File - Print, and choose Microsoft XPS Document Writer and click Print to save the file as an OXPS file.
To run the page In Solution Explorer, right-click FirstWebPage. aspx and select Set as Start Page. Press CTRL+F5 to run the page. The page is displayed in the browser. Although the page you created has a file-name extension of . aspx, it currently runs like any HTML page. Close the browser to stop the Web application.
Select the Visual C# - Web templates group on the left. Then, select Web Form from the middle list and name it FirstWebPage. aspx. Click Add to add the web page to your project.
In VS2013. Highlight the .aspx you want to copy. Click CTRL-C, then CTRL-V.
Step 1: Open the Visual studio. Step 2: Click File-New-Project. Step 3: After clicking the project it will show project template. Then we need to select the type as Visual Basic and project template as a ASP.NET Web Application.
If you do have server code in the existing *. aspx files then you will need to manually copy it to the code-behind.To do so: Unload the project. Edit the project. Find the new filename (file. aspx. cs) in the section with files. Add an xml node for DependentUpon. Save and Close the project. Reload the project.
ASPX is a scripted page, so you cant actually download the original ASPX. The IIS server on the other end has a handler for . aspx resulting in . NET Processing it.
To add a new form, select the project, right-click, and add a new item. Click the web forms option in the left corner, and select web form. Now click on the add button.
