How to include your address on a resume No Address. City, State. Example: St. Louis, MO. City, State and Zip Code. Example: St. Louis, MO 63101. Complete Address. Example: 555 Pine St. St. Louis, MO 63101. Area or Region. Example: Saint Louis Missouri Region. Relocating. Example: Relocating to Tampa, FL.
Add your address under or beside a name and CV title if deciding to include it. An address on a CV is optional, and not including it wont disqualify you from applying for a job. A postal address can be successfully added to a CV with just the town and county rather than a full address.
Personally, I like to follow the resume format below for each position in the Work History section when Im writing someones resume: COMPANY NAME | City, ST (YYYY - Present) Job Title (YYYY - Present) COMPANY NAME | New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA (YYYY - Present)
When a job application asks for copies of your resume, it means they want you to submit multiple copies of your resume. This is usually done so that the employer can keep a copy on file and also share it with other members of their team.
Each entry in your employment history should include the name and location of the company that you worked for. If you worked remotely, you can simply write remote in place of the location. Spell out the full name of the company, particularly in cases where an acronym could be misleading.
The first place to indicate your desire for remote work is in your contact information section. Resumes traditionally include at least the city and state of your address. However, if youre applying for a remote position that doesnt have any specific location requirements, your physical location isnt as important.
Spoiler: Most of the time, you dont need to include a company description on your resume. These paragraphs often take up more space than they are worth.
