welcome to Excel magic trick number 1477 hey in this video we got to see how to create a helper column to show when there are duplicates in the event codes column and the tasks column show special here are our topics and this is the cool formula were gonna learn how to create now lets go over to the sheet one four seven seven now heres our data set we have event key customer number and task event key we could see there are two duplicates right there as were going down oh theres a bunch of duplicates and we only want to mark the record when there is a duplicate like there is there and the word special is in the task column now the first trick is how do we mark the record when we know there are duplicates in the whole column well we can do that easily using the count in function criteria range I actually need to look through the whole column so Im going to click on the top cell ctrl shift down arrow to jump all the way to the bottom and then I need to lock it so I hit the f4 key f4
