Here I have an image file and I want to copy text from this image. Were going to look at a few different ways that you can do this. Theyre all really easy to do, and chances are youve already used some of these apps before. Lets check this out. First, were going to use Google Drive together with Google Docs, and with this technique, you dont have to any software, although you will need a Google account. Head to Google.com, and in the top right-hand corner, click on the app launcher and then select Drive. On Google Drive, you can now drag and drop your image file into Drive. You could extract text from PNGs, JPEGs, GIFs, or PDFs. Once you finish uploading your file, right click on it and then select open in Google Docs. When Google Docs opens, you should see your original image file with the extracted text underneath it. You can now copy that text and you could use it anywhere. You could also go up to the file menu and you could download a Word document

Note that LaTeX does not support combining characters; input must be in a composed form. If LaTeX encounters a Unicode character that it doesnt have a definition for, typesetting will stop with an error message of the form: ! Package inputenc Error: Unicode char ☃ (U+2603) (inputenc) not set up for use with LaTeX.
Enter a Unicode code point such as U+221E and find the corresponding LaTeX symbol. Or enter a LaTeX symbol such as \infty and find its Unicode code point. If you enter a single character, the page will look up the Unicode value of the input. For example, entering is the same as entering U+2200.
You may be wondering how to insert symbols in LaTeX. It is possible to add certain symbols in-text while others require LaTeXs math mode to be activated. , you can use the command \star in your code.
Getting unicode characters in your text can happen when you are copy pasting code or text from another application into your latex file. The unicode character U+2032 is for the prime () symbol. Replace it by the ASCII version (likely ). Latex processor doesnt like unicode.
You simply type \LaTeX . One problem with this is that if you type it a lot of times in your text you will need to type \LaTeX\␣ (i.e., followed by \ and an actual space) to force a space after it.
LaTeX Spacial Characters If you simply want the character to be printed just as any other letter, include a \ in front of the character. For example, \$ will produce $ in your output. The exception to the rule is the \ itself because \\ has its own special meaning. A \ is produced by typing $\backslash$ in your file.
Entering Characters Codes You can enter Unicode code-point values (the number associated with a character) using carets (^) followed by hexadecimal values. The values must use lowercase letters! The original version of TeX supported this for 255 characters.
