hello and welcome to this quick tips video which is about saying goodbye to the scissors so the scissors are obviously a really useful tool because they allow you to cut things up so you can see here im just chopping away wildly like a madman very handy and obviously much more useful if you do it in a sensible place but going to get the scissors can be a bit not that much of a pain but its one of those things where you can you can remove it so rather than hitting three on your keyboard or summoning the toolbox you can do it just with an option key which then allows you to switch back so youre kind of saving more because as soon as you let go of the key youre back to the selection tool the key in this case is option on the mac or its alt on the pc and as soon as you press it you can see that the cursor changes and now you can see because ive got snap turned on im cutting wherever snap occurs if i turn snap off i can cut wherever and as soon as i let go were back to the selection
